Outreach Project

- The Projects key services.
- The project will address the Health and Mental well being of young people:
- In interviewing skills,
- Writing Cv’s,
- Appropriate dress code at interviews,
- Providing mentoring support,
- Sexual health advice,
- Raising self-esteem,
- Sign posting to education courses, as well as training courses.
- Referrals to other specialist agencies.
- Volunteering to develop employment related skills.
- The activity that the project will deliver is giving Advice, Support and Information to young people through:
- One to one sessions in other areas of Swindon as well as in the local area, these will be sessions that young people will be able to book, as well as through referral from other agencies.
- We plan to deliver 100 one to one sessions,
- Increase stress management workshop/sessions (Tranquillity Zone) group work sessions
- As well as 30 drop in session giving information, advice and support at different venues.
- The project is promoted to those who need it through the following channels:
- Other agencies that work with young people (Youth Service, Connexions etc.),
- Schools,
- Job centre,
- Through young people doing a leaflet drop,
- Posters,
- Local paper magazines/news issues,
- Community radio and local radio.
- Improved confidence and self-esteem
- Improved job / education / training -search skills and cv writing
- To include Volunteering to develop employment related skills.
- Access to education, employment and training opportunities
- Access to sexual health information/clinic.
